The Redeemer

The Redeemer is a simple pictorial explanation of how God treats our sin and shame. Instead of asking us to pay, he paid himself.

It uses the idea, apparently from ancient times, that when someone did not pay their debt it was posted on their door until it was paid. A redeemer was someone who had pity for the person and folded the paper in half, hiding the details of the debt and declared that they would pay the debt instead of the original debtor.
